The teams for the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2024 have been finalised after the players’ draft that took place on Monday, July 15. Defending champions Guyana Amazon Warriors picked all rounders Raymon Reifer and Ronaldo Alimohamed. Prior to that, they retained key players, including Azam Khan, Imran Tahir and Saim Ayub.
The Knight Riders picked Nathan Edward and Shaquere Parris in the draft. Prior to that, they bolstered their squad with the inclusion of Jason Roy, Josh Little and Tim David. Antigua and Barbuda Falcons, the new team, picked the most players from the drafts – Roshon Primus, Justin Greaves, Teddy Bishop, Kofi James and Jahmar Hamilton.
The Falcons also have the experienced Pakistani trio of Fakhar Zaman, Imad Wasim and Mohammad Amir in their teams. The Royals also have a strong squad at their disposal after they signed David Miller, Quinton de Kock and Naveen-ul-Haq.
The upcoming CPL is scheduled to get underway on Thursday, August 29 with the match between Antigua and Barbuda Falcons and St Kitts and Nevis Patriots.
